this is an nice approach you have here
i like the sketchiness of your drawing

maybe its better to post your tests as quicktimes so we can be sure what timeing you intended.
gif is not so good for that
also... QT allows for frame by frame playback

very vivid!
I would like to see it in quicktime too. The speed of a gif is not very accurate.
and it is quite small...my poor eyes

I like it too. But I also like to see it in QT. It is hard to say anything about timing..

Today, I continue my work of walk. like the other work, i begin only with shapes. Idon't hide you that i met some problems about the distribution of the character's volume. I'll work tonight to improve my respect of the character, his lubricate, his weight.

If you can send me some criticize and if you've got idea to help me to have the best animation that i could have with my level. Thank you to give your impressions.

Have good time and thank
you to allow to progress.

this file is the animation of my character, the "marche20" is the walk only on shapes and "marche21" is the character, without head, to concentrate on the body and its axes

There is really not that much to crit in my humble opinion. Good animation
Except that you missed an arm somewhere in the middle (and a head)
The first animation you posted however does have a different weight feel than the last one, it feels like a small style difference. The fat guy seems to be walking on the moon compared to the fast descent in the other clip. But perhaps that's exactly what you want. so two thumbs up from me so far, although he is missing a head. :D

as i said before i really like your drawings, nice lines they are very suitable for animation.
but i see quite a few problems with this walk.

it looks like a walk but it is a run, because both his feet are in the air simultaneously in the passing position.

if a fat human like this runs its belly would be going all over the place
lots of bounce and stretch.
in either case what you have now feels too floaty for such a heavy character

so i would advice to clearly choose what it is you want to do, either a run or a walk and exaggerate the poses

oh... and you forgot the head :P

this is a short animation of a little character on a chair. Tell me what you think about, it's just with keyframe and some more frame.

what I will say Alex, is that I really liked the 3rd gif you posted: The jumpy walk. I really liked the line and the animation itself but I didn't like the walk you posted in Quicktime.

I would suggest you to show us again the 3rd gif and create a head this time and post that as a quicktime before starting anything new.

your right oliveuk,
i must have continue my work with the third gif, make him a head and continue his "jump walk". I think it's could be better if i finish the jump's way and to take it place in a background.

Thank you for your encouragements.
