Login to TVPaint website is broken
When I try to log-in to my account on the TVPant website I receive an error message : "Oops! Something went wrong. Take a look at the error message below." But there is no error message below, only a blank page. (see screenshot) Screen Shot 2024-07-26 at 8.26.56 AM.jpg ------ Also, the lin...

Re: Ferris Wheel Spin
 Fun to see everyone going at this... but you all did not read the "Ferris Wheel" stipulation in the assignement. A ferris wheel motion means that while the little heads rotate around the center figure head, all the little heads should remain their upright orientation... now it b...

Re: Ferris Wheel Spin
After following those two very good advice, if you want to try other shapes than a circle and to go to a step further, in the "Offset/Position", select "Spline" and use a Custom Brush as source (your chibi head). Keyframer is very powerful, you can record your own path too but i...

posting embedded IMAGES on the forum
Recently I notice that I am no longer able to upload images to my post and use the option to embed the image in the body of the post. When I try to upload images (or other files) to the forum I get a pop-up error message: "HTTP Error" . This has only started happening recently. For now if ...

Re: Ferris Wheel Spin
Here is how I would do it . The central head is on a separate layer. On another layer use a circle guideline around the central head (use the Circle tool in the main panel) On a third layer arrange the other heads so they are centered on the circle guideline. (now hide this layer) Create a new blank...

Re: hot link instance copies
Yes, I think that’s the function I was hoping would be baked-in to TVPaint, to allow for instances with the same name to be automatically updated.Hironori Takagi wrote: ↑23 Jul 2024, 01:36 Of course, it would be ideal if instances with the same name were constantly updated.

CTG Layers disabled when opening v12 project in v11.7.3 [TVPA-3682]
Here's a bug I noticed in moving projects from v12 to 11.7.3 - If I create a project in version 12 which has CTG layers , then I share that project with another team member who is still using version 11.7.3 , when they open the project in 11.7.3 the CTG layers are disabled and no source is assigned ...

Re: CTG Layer, crop project
I've colored a sequence using CTG layer. After completion, I decided to crop the dimension of the project canvas. Then the colors disappeare ----- Oh it seems that cropping automatically hid the CTG layer effects (the lightning bolt icon), all I had to do was turn it back on. Admins, feel free to d...

Re: How to move multiple layers at once
Figured it out - I think because I was using CTG layers that made things weird. I converted all CTG layers to normal animation layers, and didn't select a source as the colour group. It worked when I just kept it simple with Keyframer. Didn't figure out how to get Transform to work, but Keyframer w...

Re: hot link instance copies
TVPaint already supports this function but it must be initiated manually via a custom panel script. I agree that having automatic linked instances update would be a great step forward, glad to see greasepencil recognize this and clip studio has always had this from the start as well. If this functi...

Re: Looping Background
I started creating an answer to your question before I saw Slowtiger's response. I think our methods are more or less the same , but as long as I have created a screen-capture video for you I decided to go ahead and upload it here. This might also help someone else in the future looking for an expla...

Re: macOS Monterey / Ventura / Sonoma and TVPaint Animation 11 [UPDATE 17/06/2022]
I think you'll be ok with Sonoma because your Mac is Intel chip. I think the issue people are having with crashing is on newer Macs with the M1/M2 chips from what I've been reading here on the forum. That said, I'm still on Monterey on a Mac-mini Intel chip machine from 2018, so I can't say for sure...

Hi Kelan, Thank you for your reply, kind words and for reporting the discrepancy regarding the layer tutorial file (which we should have explained in the YouTube video description, indeed)! Re: TVPaint 12 User Manual / Documentation
It is still a work in progress since the aim was to completely rewrite the previous documentation and make it easier to follow through clearer formatting and GIF images. A good part has already been rewritten and most of the new V12 features have been documented. However, the rest of the documentat...
