can Light Table ignore empty instances?
Hello, I was wondering if there's a way of having the Light Table ignore empty instances around and only reference those with drawings on them. To illustrate why I need this: I've got a rough and use "duplicate layer structure" to create a layer for the clean-up. I need to start cleaning t...

Re: adjusting layer opacity
Thanks! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I'm using version 11.0.6 32 bits, standard edition.
Let's hope that's something the team could fix for the next update then (•‿•)

adjusting layer opacity
Hello, Sorry if that was already mentioned somewhere, I can't find that: is it possible to set layer's opacity by typing a number, not sliding the slider? I need to put opacity on certain values, and I'm finding myself going crazy trying to adjust the slider to exactly that number. It would save me ...

Re: File size with imported .mov files
I can’t help you with your actual question about what changed (TVP is still such a wonderful terra incognita to me in those areas), but I can tell you that your initial idea that two files of certain size should amount to their sum as TVP project was incorrect in theory because those files were both...

Re: render stopping issue
Thank you for all the replies, after all I ended up rendering " Animation " codec and compressing to HP64 in another program. Your advice about FFmpeg is good, but running a few tests I noticed " Animation " just renders quicker and time was also an important factor that I didn’t...

Re: render stopping issue
Thank you, I've done lost of test since and noticed this problem only happens with H264 compression, anything else in QuickTime mov and indeed Quick Time FFmpeg works (as well as PNG sequence and other export options). I reinstalled Quick Time, and TVPaint - just in case, but that didn't do much. Ri...

Re: render stopping issue
I'm sorry about not mentioning that earlier: Windows 10 (intel(r) xeon(r) cpu e5-2680 v3 2.40ghz, 16GB RAM, 62-bit, os build 14393.1198), TVP Standard, I have a Wacom intuos pro driver (latest version) installed but don't use the tablet for that particular process. Capt.PNG It seems to render fine i...

Re: render stopping issue
those are multiple projects, I'm rendering many various shots of different length and have that issue on most of them. Pixel-wise it's 3500x2000 (25fps but animated on twos or even more - long holds, it's only rough animation stage) last few ones I had were 121MB, 61.2MB, 7.67MB and 18MB. But they d...

Re: render stopping issue
sorry, what do you mean by "video editor"? As in, the program called Video Editor? Or some option in TVPaint I'm not aware of?

render stopping issue
Hello all, I'm having problems rendering QuickTime files (H.264, no conversion, not changing framerate nor any other settings of the project, just as it is) from TVP v 11.0.6-32bits. Sometimes they render just fine, but sometimes (and that's becoming more and more common) the render ("Saving Se...

Re: how fast do you colour?
Thank you all suggestions and tips that I’ll keep in mind, but I don’t really have any animation to test on as I’m only in a planning stage (maybe I should, to estimate better). Or, indeed any random finished animation in TVPaint kicking about to use as slowtiger suggests. I've only started using th...

how fast do you colour?
Hello everyone, This is just a question out of curiosity, as I'm trying to figure out a pipeline for a project: how many seconds of animation roughly can you colour a day using TVPaint? I know it's a very vague question, so let's say a day is a regular office working day (8hours), animation is on tw...
