I reached out to Karin on support and it's solved, got my TVPaint 11.7.1 up and running. (Thanks Support team for responding so quickly!)
Hope there'll be no crashes now!

Re: TVPaint 11 keeps crashing
Ok it turns out I still have the 11.7.1 version lying around in my Applications folder, but I'm afraid to double click the .dmg file since I don't know how the codemeter/WIBU thing works. (I actually did, and it shows me the pop up to install the codemeter.dmg) I don't know if we're allowed to have ...

Re: CTG Layer, crop project
Thanks for checking this out D.T. Nethery, but I am actually using 11.7.3.
It doesn't bother me as I know I'll just turn the thunderbolts back on, but it's true it might get cumbersome if I had a looot of layers. I doubt that will happen much though.

Re: TVPaint 11 keeps crashing
Hello! Unfortunately I'm starting to have very frequent crashes when using 11.7.3 as well. Can someone help direct me to the 11.7.1 or 11.7.2, with uninstall/install directions to make sure there's no conflicting with the versions?
I'm on:
MacOS Monterey 12.7.2
Apple M1 Max 32GB
Thank you very much.

Re: CTG Layer, crop project
Oh it seems that cropping automatically hid the CTG layer effects (the lightning bolt icon), all I had to do was turn it back on.
Admins, feel free to delete this post. I thought to leave it in case another newbie finds it useful.

CTG Layer, crop project
Hi, I've colored a sequence using CTG layer. After completion, I decided to crop the dimension of the project canvas. Then the colors disappeared. Is there a way to bring it back? Or did the CTG layer depend on the coordinates based on the original canvas? Thank you. Using TVPaint 11.7 PRO on MacOS ...

Re: Control bar gone!
Thank you for the tip, Peter. When I was searching around the interface I briefly looked at the remote panel but decided it wasn't what I was looking for since it didn't have the rotate canvas icon, but good to know that everything else is there!

Re: Control bar gone!
Oh no, I have the same problem from.... 2015. I looked everywhere but I can\t find the little icon on the top left David_fine was talking about. I've attached a screenshot of my current workspace. How do I get back the control bar/ that bar that has the rotate icon, and mark in/mark out buttons? Tha...

Re: Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 vs Pro 24 for TVPaint
I have a cintiq 16 and Cintiq pro 24. There’s something about the 16 that is friendlier to the body when needing to reach both keyboard and maybe mouse sometimes, but I find that 16 is too small for tvpaint because I like to keep the timeline quite visible, taking a third of the height of the screen...

Re: Suggestions for tablet
Yes I still use the Intuos Pro for professional, and also personal work. :) And yes, what D.T. Nethery said is true about mapping the usage area to the whole monitor. In theory you could even map it to two monitors if you're working on dual, but it would significantly limit your movement on the tabl...

Re: pixel tracker - keyframer question (motion tracking)
Gosh it's weird, I don't know what I did differently but it worked this time, thank you for the magic SlowTiger! Previously I did the same thing (or at least I think), with the path recorder- but it only moved the first frame on the timeline, and everything else was unchanged. Perhaps I didn't check...

Re: Suggestions for tablet
I don't know anything about the Ipad Pro- but where you are, is it possible to go to a store and test how it feels between a Cintiq and an Intuos Pro? I've worked with Intuos for 14 years now- for the longest time the Cintiq was always a kind of dream tablet. I had the chance some time ago to test t...

Re: pixel tracker - keyframer question (motion tracking)
Hello, I've watched the same keyframer tutorial, and tried to swim through forum posts on this topic, but I still don't understand how I could apply the same method when I have multiple layers and instances already animated. What I want to do is to apply a path for a sequence of animation throughout...
