Tv Paint Developer Blog
Always thought it would be amazing if the developers made a Blog on their updates and development progress with the program. Hmm?

Re: Auto Smooth Line While You Draw
I really love the smooth feature but I do wish that it was under brush settings instead of the popout menu because I dream of be able to save presets for the smoothness. Mainly because Im always changing the smoothness settings while I ink certain things and it gets alittle tedious constantly draggi...

Individual Scene Sizes for Camera
Again, I may be the only one who wants this, or maybe it was suggested b4, but I wish that each scene's "Image size" could be independent from one scene to the next. It would give the camera tool a lot more freedom to experiment without messing up your other animation scenes image sizes. B...

Re: a new concept for a drawing mode
yeah it seems to me it would be very good for pencil testing, in the early stages of an animation when the scene is light rather than when things get big and heavy But I should think that this alone, plus the business of animating color brush strokes would be well worth the existence of it in TVP. ...

Re: a new concept for a drawing mode
This idea is really revolutionary. I mean, think of how much easier it would be to animate when you can animate in real time. More fun too. I've never seen a software do this before, but im surprised no one ever thought of it before in an animation software. Would make drawing on paper and drawing a...

Re: Auto Smooth Line While You Draw
I thought this was a joke at first but you guys actually implemented the smooth feature (and so fast!) and I am amazed at how well it works. I feel I no longer need vector programs to ink my animation which feels GREAT let me tell you! Thank you guys at TvPaint. You have Coreyanimator's gratitude fo...

Re: Auto Smooth Line While You Draw
I hate to interuppt this tender moment lol but actually the smoothing thing I was wishing for seems to be done already by one of the local artist here Moatdd. The guy who does the tvp 9 tutorials. Maybe tvp progammers can team up with this guy and come up with something great. 3dI0701GM_Y And thanks...

Re: How to Apply Gradients
Thanks alot guys. That spot light seems to do the trick pretty well! Although I do have 2 simple questions 1.)Im having trouble actually selecting things I want to fill with the fill bucket. For example if I want to select the pants, the ghost selection doesnt select the entire open area but instead...

How to Apply Gradients
About to start coloring an animation soon and I was wondering how do you go about adding gradients to your character entire color fill from head to toe. I want the character's entire self in a gradient but I cant figure out how to make a gradient that just effects the character and doesnt feel the b...

Re: How to change the size of the project
So while Im at it, I have a quick question about cameras. I want to add a camera that is the exact same size as my project and fits exactly in the center not leaving any open spaces. The camera is going to do other things but for the moment I need it to be exactly in place. I cant figure out how to ...

Re: Auto Smooth Line While You Draw
Here is an example taken from a frame of rough animation I was doing. Here you can see I get great drawing results in tvpaint, in fact its my favorite program for rough drawing/cleanup because it acts like paper. Rough (Tvpaint) http://coreyloving.com/TEMPSTuff/tvpaint/coreytvpssketch2rough.jpg Clea...

Re: Auto Smooth Line While You Draw
Yeah drawing it is easy on pencil and paper (in Tvpaint too), getting smooth lines in tvpaint is not : ) It CAN be done in Tvpaint, its just slower and harder. But this image is computer drawn + inked using japanese animation software retas pro that auto smooths while you draw. Makes computer inking...
