Moving & resetting frames

Hi Forum Members, Is it possible to "lift" a frame and move it around to check drawing (with previous frames), and then "snap" it back to original position? I don't mean translate (which is a permanent change); but, like traditional paper animation, to lift a sheet off the pegbar...
