it is always better to split your whole animation into clips, you can work with the clips as a general timeline on the project window and add audio as needed. You can render the project from there.

If you enable subpixel middle click will work as right click on tvpaint (had this issue when i opened up a wacom pen and broke the button) xD, also an AHK script bound ot any key as a click and hold could work too.
