Well, the install worked, but I'm back where I started, as I need to restart to run TVP every day. I'm guessing it's an OS issue, but I really don't want to re-install W7. Maybe eventually.
I appreciate the input, everybody. Thanks!

Re: Updating issue (original v. 10.0.18)
Yes, that's where I downloaded it from. If I remember right, the problem arose when Sentinel re-installed. Maybe I can stop Sentinel from re-installing, and it'll be fine?
I'll try again, but if anyone's got any other ideas, I'd love to hear them! I'll have to try later, but I'll share my results.

Re: Updating issue (original v. 10.0.18)
When I uninstalled 10.0.18 and installed the 10.5 update file, it installed the full 10.0.18. Is there not simply an update file? I don't recall having any problems with this years ago, but again, maybe I'm somehow doing something wrong in the process, or maybe the update file I'm getting directed t...

Updating issue (original v. 10.0.18)
Hi All, I was having trouble with TVP 10.5 (it wouldn't run without restarting my machine), so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I'm trying to update my 10.0.18 version, but the update file appears to be the full 10.5 version. Installing that on top of my 10.0.18 messed things up (including a hard c...

Storyboard action notes question
Hi All, I'm "publishing" a storyboard to a pdf, and I'm wondering if there is a way to place action notes for subsequent bookmarked portions of a shot with their respective storyboard panels, rather than having them all listed under the first panel of a particular shot. This is tricky to e...

Re: Audio spanning multiple clips within a project
Oh my goodness, thank you both so much! I had never used the Timeline View in the Project tab before, so I did not know where the "add soundtrack" option was, or that it existed. This is a huge help. And Paul, yes, the "Play project sound in clip" is available in TVP 10, and this...

Re: Audio spanning multiple clips within a project
Maybe this isn't even possible with TVPaint... Can anyone confirm, one way or another?
Do I need to do this in another program, like Premiere, or am I missing something within TVP?

Audio spanning multiple clips within a project
Hi all, Is there a way to lay an audio track (like music) over an entire project, spanning multiple clips? I'm working on an animatic that is very dependent on the timing of a song that spans the full project and I cannot figure out how to do this in TVPaint. I am running TVP Pro 10.5.4 64 bits. Tha...

Re: TVP 10 "Twain Error"
You can have both versions installed at the same, many people do it. In 64 bits twain doesn't work, and there is no quicktime. So people use the 32 bits version when they need these, and the 64 bits version for everything else. Yes, this did the trick! Thanks so much, ematecki, and everyone who too...

Re: TVP 10 "Twain Error"
First, Thank you for the replies! :) I really appreciate it. I am guessing you have a 32-bit TWAIN driver and you are using 64-bit TVPaint. TVPaint 9.5 was 32-bit only (except on Linux), which is probably why it worked. You should see if your scanner has a 64-bit driver for it. It is a 32-bit/64-bit...

Re: TVP 10 "Twain Error"
Well, I've uninstalled and reinstalled TVP 10 and the scanner driver, and I still get the same error.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, by the way.
Does anyone have any advice? Something else I should try? I'm stuck. :S

TVP 10 "Twain Error"
Hello everyone. I can't seem to get TVP 10 to see my scanner (Fujitsu fi-5530c). I have used this scanner with TVPaint 9.5 without any problems, but when I try to access it in TVP 10 all I get is "Twain Error." I've uninstalled and reinstalled the scanner driver, but I still get the same e...
