Re: FPS output questions
OK, thanks for the advice. I'll remember that next project=. But I'm still wondering if there's anyway to "fix" this sound track now that we have recorded it at 12 fps speed. Or do we have to re-record everything again at the faster frame rate? In other words, the film is 24 FPS and the so...

Re: FPS output questions
I use a music and efx composer to write and sync the track to the pic. (like me he's new at this ). On my last project I mistakenly exported the film at 12 fps (the rate I animate at) before adjusting the number of FPS to 24. He composed music to that speed. This means that his sound tracks won't wo...

FPS output questions
I've been reading the comments on the Forum about conforming film speed from start to final output and I'm still a little confused. This is my process: I set the original project at 12fps and animate in ones. All sound tracks are then imported into that project. When the animation is finished I make...

Re: saving an "add action"
Yes, I discovered when opening the file this morning that in fact, by mistake, I'd only saved the project on the external HD. For future ref, does this mean that TVP won't save the "add actions" if you save the project just on the external HD?

saving an "add action"
Hooray, I've learned how to make custom tools and how to organize them to my working style, but yesterday I made some that weren't there this morning. How could I have lost them? I've done this the same way in the past and had no problems saving the changes. What could I have done wrong?

cutbrush
I've just installed my copy of TVP on a new computer. Everything works fine, except the cutbrush doesn't show the image. It's there because I can stamp it down, but I don't see it on my cursor. I''ve tried changing everything I can in the cutbrush window to no avail. help ?

new computer
I've been using an old PC and just bought a new computer, also PC (which is supposed to arrive today) (yikes). I want to transfer my TVP program with all its settings in place. Is that going to be tricky? And do I need to use the code keys sent with the disk again as well as the dongle? I see that o...

Re: linking layers
Good. I just ordered a copy of Drawn from Memory. Look forward to seeing it again. Sorry you've had bad luck with them, but that's pretty typical from my experience in general. Thanks for the link.

Re: linking layers
Paul, Wonderful. Look forward to seeing the new film. I like that it's going to be available online. With short films this seems to be the way to go. Some time ago I saw your film about growing up in various places in Europe. I've forgotten the name of it. Is it possible to rent or buy it online? I'...

Re: linking layers
FANTASTIC. Everything works exactly as you laid it out. I'm off and running again. I'm grateful that you' have the time and inclination to help me with these little issues. Are you taking some time off after your last project or working on something new. I am very impressed by your films, btw.

Paul
Thanks for the tip on linking the layers. It works fine and yes, I would like to make buttons out of these commands. So, here's the info you asked for. I'm working in TVP 10 professional version on a PC using system 7.

Re: linking layers
Paul, I'm not sure I understand "key commands". Are you talking about keyboard shortcuts ? I'm sure this is all pretty obvious to you, but I'm still a newbie at this program and don't exactly have the lingo yet. I know there is a script for this because I downloaded it a few days ago and i...

linking layers
I want to link layers in order to insert or delete frames on one layer and still keep all other layers in sync. I downloaded a script for this a couple of days ago, but can't find it again. PLEASE help.

Re: extending frames after animating.
Paul Your scripts do a number of interesting things, but they do not seem to extend more than one frame at a time. To extend frames this way would be much more time consuming than doing it by dragging out each frame. Perhaps my description of the problem is not clear ? Perhaps the answer is so obvio...
