import images and copy layer timing
I am doing a lot to my initial drawings on paper. It would be nice to be able to select an instance in the timeline and import a image/images from a folder to replace the existing images directly. Keeping the timing of the initial drawings/instance would be great. Also, copying the timing from one l...

Re: update scanned images
Thank you very much for all the info. The scanning doesn’t work in windows as well. I don’t mind scanning in vuescan and then importing from a file. It would be a nice addition if I could select an instance in the timeline and have the imported image overwrite that frame. However, your suggested wor...

update scanned images
Hi, I am importing scanned images into TvPaint. Ideally, I would like to update specific images and retain the timing of the sequence. With a webcam it is possible in TVPaint to be on a frame and capture a new image to replace/update. I would like to be able to do the same by scanning or importing a...

Re: light table while in the FX stack
Ok thanks for the info Peter!
Does the Puppet layer make use of the light table?

light table while in the FX stack
Hi,
Can anyone tell me. Does TvPaint 12 have the option to use the “light table” while in the FX stack? It would be very helpful when planning movements. I am currently using TVP 11 and don’t see an option for that.
Thanks

Re: Notes layer issue
Hi Thierry,
That worked! I had my scaling at 1.5 - I do like the layout look at that size. Setting it to 1 does fix the problem.
Thanks!

Notes layer issue
Hi, I am having trouble with the “notes” layer. When I go to write with any of the pencils a line will appear until I lift my pen off the cintiq surface, then the line disappears. I have used the “notes” before without an issue. Is this a glitch? I have updated my GFX card driver, still the same iss...

Re: Export DPI setting
Thanks again for spending the time to figure this out! The file type can be Tiff, jpeg or png. I have 2 png images in the link below. I export them with peg holes at the top – Animo uses that to align with my existing paper drawings. Both images are 7680 x 4320, 1 is 72dpi From TvPaint, 1 is 400dpi ...

Re: Export DPI setting
Yes, Cambridge Animation Systems - Animo 6. I have had it working under windows 10 for a number of years now. It does have it’s glitches, most of those I have figured out by now. The batch rendering is much faster on the new computers and the extra ram is great. I also have Animo running on my Wacom...

Export DPI setting
Hello, I am new to TvPaint and I absolutely love the drawing feel of this software. My Question - Is there a way to export from TvPaint and choose the DPI? I am making the switch from paper to digital animating and most of my film is in an older program called Animo. If I bring my TVPaint drawings i...
