Re: TV Paint Light?
@thunderdog : what if you start with à cheap digital piano and want later play on a concert piano ? You can't compare both and if à Roland makes good digital pianos, you'll prefer maybe à yamaha concert piano ? ;) That's a bit more specialized. Tvpaint compares a lot more to a digital workstation. ...

Re: TV Paint Light?
@Neonnoddle : when you want to play piano, you can start with a low cost digital piano. Then, when you master your passion, you can purchase another piano, more powerful, whatever if you are a professional or a hobbyist. That's the same with animation : you can start with a low cost software (among...

Re: Various stuff made with TVPaint
I think what Paul is getting at and is mistakenly referring to as a 'TVPaint look' is more the 'digital paint look'. Not that vector program paint style but the digital look that can be got in nearly any raster based paint program.

Re: Layer Finder (updated) - view and select new current lay
Thank you, Svengali. It works great. I now have a nicely maximized workspace.
I haven't learned the value of the stencils yet. I'll have to give that some time.

Re: Layer Finder - view and select new current layer
Hello Svengali. Is it not possible to make this work on an unsaved file?

Re: Layer frame signifier
Thanks, Paul. That's a great one too! I think I'll switch out the regular up and down arrow keys to hot key this function. It'd be pretty cool if we could adjust the amount of shake. That's just being picky though. It looks like it might have been Byron http://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&am...

Re: Layer frame signifier
My apologies, after writing the post, I had thought that I was being too picky and closed it out. I must have submitted by accident, but after seeing Svengali's post, I'm glad I did. That looks like a really convenient space saver! That seems to address what I was confusingly asking for! I'll try it...

Layer frame signifier
hi, I'm still using the demo, and only lightly, at that, so maybe I'm not seeing this option, but I'd like to suggest an option to make the color of the window you're drawing in match the color of the layer you're drawing on to. This would help avoid drawing on the wrong layers with less than a glan...

Re: Background
I was just wondering this myself.
Keyframer can do that pretty easily.

Re: Tutorials please?
I'd settle just to be able to watch someone make a full 1 second animation fully colored with sound and background. Something really dynamic(action) i'd think that could show all the features in use in a project, wouldn't it? I get the feeling that anything longer would pretty much be more of the sa...

Re: pendulum arc
Wow! Thanks a bunch!
I haven't gotten to study the KF yet, I'll get to it.
Sorry about the LB. I'm so used to calling it a light box that I wrote LB out of habit. wasn't paying enough attention.
Edit: Love the keyframer!

idragosani: I see that in the handle option for the custom brush option. I haven't been able to get it to work with LB. Handle/Custom/... LMB-Clic&Drag the Pivot point from where it is to where you want, then, you can store it into the bin tab (to "record" this new pivot's position). ...

Re: pendulum arc
Hmm, ok, it was just a limitation: I make my first frame and then go to the 2nd frame and then turn on the lightbox. I click the greybox for the out-of-peg feature for the previous frame(first frame) so that I can rotate it for reference for my 2nd frame. The first frame's unaltered lightboxed image...

Elodie provided a great work around though if you need something a little more precise. I'll probably use the light box mos...
