Re: Multi feedback on tvpaint and why I will not buy it now
Paul, good job on robbing your heroic developers of yet another potential customer.

Haha, Paul, I didn't ban you, I just kindly asked only to participate without your baby pants on.

Re: My general experience with TVPaint
Henk, you really missed the point. My post is not about being dissapointed not getting requests implemented quickly. And also, I did consider that I might be the only one feeling frustrated with the program, I litteraly said so somewhere in this thread.

Re: My general experience with TVPaint
Thanks for your response Chad, I appreciate it. To be honest, I was expecting to hear from at least a few other people who share my feelings, but if it turns out I am the only one who experiences things this way I guess the only sane conclusion to make would be that TVpaint just isn't the software f...

Re: My general experience with TVpaint
Elodie, let me put some things straight. Yes, Joost, Lukas and me are indeed working in the same studio. Obviously, the discussion that Joost got into this morning with his request, got me to open this thread. I overheard Lukas and Joost talk about it, and while I stopped letting myself getting work...

Re: My general experience with TVpaint
I just want a friggin program native eraser when I press e. The basic of the basics. But all jokes aside, I am already regretting spending some of my precious hours of my work day into something that doesn't seem to come through or go anywhere. First of all, the "why would you want that" q...

Re: My general experience with TVpaint
+1. So why don't you adapt to the way it is now? I still want to know. Well, let me try and explain it to you. Remember when some 30 years ago companies introduced 8 bit game consoles? Look what we have now, HD (and soon 4K) 3D game consoles that can produce graphics that equal television productio...

Re: keyboard shortcuts mac/windows
To start a commercial venture so reliant on computers with two different computer systems is a serious flaw to begin with. Even if I agreed with that (which I don't), the example that Lukas gives is another illustration of why changing this would be a good idea. There are multiple computer systems ...

Re: keyboard shortcuts mac/windows
What Joost suggests would mean a one time effort from Mac users to right a flaw that TVpaint once made in the past. Maybe it wasn't a flaw, but a conscious decision they made. If Joost suggestion is the way all other Mac software handles this, wouldn't it be better for every TVpaint user (including ...

Re: My general experience with TVpaint
Actually I think it was better to have it in the feature requests part of the forum, because my post isn't about technical support either and I think a lot less people visit this part of the forum. It's more about feature requests (and how people deal with that) so I would like to get input from peo...

My general experience with TVPaint
Dear TVpaint developers. I have to get his of my chest. It's been brewing inside of me for years, so apologies in advance if I loose sight of internet etiquette here, but I believe it's also in your benefit to know how I feel about your program and community. Ever since I first opened up TVpaint, I ...

Re: Masking
Like Peter says, the erase function already allows for some non-destructive edits, while I always believed (and more or less told, here on the forum) that it was part of TvPaint's core structure that everything always had to be rendered out to definitive pixels. Apparently that's not the case. I lik...

Re: Masking
Does that mean you will ask the smarter guys from the TV paint team to program this for us? Because it would be a huge improvement to the software.

Re: Masking
This would be a really fantastic feature, but I understand what slowtiger is saying. I have to ask though, wouldn't it be a smart move to change this part of TVpaint's underlying structure? Since all the other programs I use are capable of this kind of functionality, TVpaints limitations are slowly ...
