Ah, ok so i exported a sequence as a png and THAT reserves the alpha channel.

IS there a way to export a video file with alpha channels and overlay it in aftereffects over a background?

I exported as an mov and a sequence as a psd.

it's not working.


ugh, this is slowly stressing me out.

So i'm trying to export a sequence with alpha channels so i can overlay it onto a background. I unchecked background and exported it but when i took it into after effects, the alpha channels weren't working. It was just a big black background...

Well i'm alreayd pretty excited about it since it cuts out redlineprep and other post production things. I can color a hell of a lot easier in it, which is awesome too. So i'm really excited. I might actually finish a film this year. hahah4

There is. I grasped it pretty quickly so far. lol.

I didn't understand stand how frames worked in it first. I had to redo animation because I had already went and made every single individual frame. lol. So used to animating in photoshop

figured it out again, I clicked the little box on the layer and that made it impossible to draw on. hahahhahaha

I figured out what it was. I had them all set on some different layer type.

Now, for some odd reason I can't use my pen.
Works in other documents, but not this one.
