Re: TVPaint and Windows 11
I've recently upgraded to Windows 11 and things ran fine until the recent 22H2 update. Suddenly I had problems with both my ancient 9.5 version and the version 11 demo when using a Cintiq, but quickly found that the problem could be resolved by switching off WinTab in 9.5 and switching from WinTab t...

Re: How to deal with freeloaders
That happened in my case, too. In my case the student was a young person who grew up in the age of internet piracy. I think some of these people don't even consider the morality or tangible consequence of their actions because they assume software is always made by incredibly wealthy corporations. S...

Re: How to deal with freeloaders
I was once in a similar situation, giving a lesson to someone who told me they owned a copy of TVPaint. When it became clear they were using a cracked version (because they did not have a dongle plugged in), I asked for some proof that they actually owned a copy (it seems that half the TVPaint users...

This is a thread for "various" TVPaint projects, not necessarily awe-inspiring ones. I, for one, am just happy to see market share increasing.

Re: Various stuff made with TVPaint
I spied this profile of Stas Santimov on CartoonBrew today. http://www.cartoonbrew.com/artist-of-the-day/stas-santimov-116729.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Mesmerizing! I love it - does he use TVPaint ? It claims so in the article, but I think it's pretty obvious any...

Re: Wacom Standalone Tablets
This looks promising, I would love a slate tablet with programmable hotkeys like the Cintiq. Who knows, we may even see tilt sensitivity.

Re: Asus ep 121 Tablet PC
I just had a chance to mess around with the Samsung Series 7 Slate and I remembered your post, Terrence. It was a very capable machine and much thinner than the EP 121. I didn't notice much difference in performance, but the device wasn't being tested by anything as intense as photoshop. I did like ...

I agree, I was able to jump right in without trouble.
I'm curious if you can remember the blog post you mentioned, I'd like to read those comments.

Re: Hello all! I'm new here, and feeling rather helpless ^^;
"huh?" -- someone said they loved the work done in TVPaint but said the interface was impossible to understand. I've heard this sentiment before, but I have yet to hear anyone give a clear reason why they don't understand the interface. One answer that I keep hearing is that they "do...

Re: Vanishing Point Tool
I can't seem to get either of these scripts to work. The Param Circle command is definitely working and I don't get an error message, but there is no result when I use the action. Is there any reason this would not work on Mac OS X? Update: It works flawlessly on Windows. Now I'm extra glad I switch...

Re: Vanishing Point Tool
Wow, thanks for all the work, especially with the "fuzzy navel" issue. I suppose I should really learn to script for TVP.
Not to seem belligerently ignorant, but how does one implement these wonderful scripts?

Vanishing Point Tool
I've made this brush to serve as a vanishing point tool for creating perspective grids. It's a fairly simple set of radiating lines, which is scalable and can be modified by the Tint brushes in the Sketch Panel. I hope you find it useful. vp1.png vp3.png vanishingpoint.tvpx This file was made in TVP...
