ok so here's the window I get when I do the steps that you posted. It's like an extra canvas window or something.

Maybe I'm slow, but I did what you said and all that happens is another window pops up with the picture of the brush in it. I don't know what to do from there. I'm sorry, your probably thinking "this guy is so dumb." lol

I've downloaded some of the brushes from the content sharing. How do I add them to my brushes?
