Re: How to deal with freeloaders
I've been using and teaching TVPaint in my university since 2009. I always talk about how pirated software can destroy a company financially and when that happens, we lose the software. Like a species going extinct (Well, in a way). The company deserves to earn the profits and in most cases, develop...

Re: Share your Interface Look!
I made this one for when I'm teaching TVPaint using a projector. It's bright for everyone to see what I'm doing and it's an upbeat, cheerful palette.

Re: Moving around project window
Hi David! My #1 favorite hot key is ALT used in various ways: ALT and dragging with your Cintiq pen = move the art (world) around ALT and dragging with your Cintiq pen while holding the right mouse button (lower button on the pen) = zoom in/out Make CTR + L (which I set up as my Toggle Light Table c...

Re: Wacom & Vancouver Capilano College & TVPaint
The independent artists each did their own sequences in their own styles, so Bill may not have touched TV Paint. Too bad.....I've had my share of reluctant people not wanting to learn new software or even have me show them the benefits. But that's their problem. It's like a house builder not wanting...

Re: Wacom & Vancouver Capilano College & TVPaint
It is too expensive to replace the Cintiqs every year with new models. We replace them when we need to, however in the last 7 years, we have never needed to...they never break! Our 2nd year classroom has the 2nd generation (black) 21 UX and the instructor stations have the new 22HD. The taller 21UX ...

Re: TVPaint and Windows 8 tablets
I've been working on the Companion Win8 for about a week now and it was only a problem when the resolution was less than HD.
However I noticed that the online keyboard didn't input text when editing a custom panel tool. I had to use a keyboard. Overall, it works very nicely!

Re: Auto update gives me a 32bit version instead of 64 bit
Thank you, Fabrice. I did that and the 64 bit version installed, however I still have the old User Interface (before 8.5). My user interface is missing the: -"Custom Panel" tab on the menu bar. -option for TVPP compression in the Preferences and -the new "Sharing" options. They a...

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
I'm sorry you won't be there this year. It was great to see you at the last one. Yeah, I haven't seen Nik since those Raccoon days though he met with a couple of my students who knocked on his door one year. He toured them through the studio and took them to lunch in the Disney cafeteria! I don't th...

Auto update gives me a 32bit version instead of 64 bit
When I "check for updates" and download the file (10.5.2) the update is a 32 bit although I own a 64 bit version. Of course I like Quicktime exports but I like 64 bit better. Any idea why this happens?

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
My sentiments expressed here are that I often see people asking for complicated features to be developed for what should come naturally with ease to just draw without crutches -- just draw the friggi'n thing and go on to the next one -- I feel like screaming. . Sorry Paul. In my opinion, flipping o...

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
Here is the video that explains why manual flipping, back and forth, is important when using "Off the Pegs" for shift and inbetweening.

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
By the way dperro Do you work/draw/erase on all three drawings when you have "Out of Pegs"? No, just the middle drawing. The other two drawings should be finished, cleaned up drawings because you can't create an accurate "inbetween" from two "rough" keys. I will look f...

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
I use image marks but they don't let you temporarily shift the drawings so that they are over each other. Out of pegs allows you to do that but you can only "play" the three drawings and that's doesn't let you really see where the drawings are off model. You need to flip them (just the thr...

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
I'm not sure Paul understood my request. I only need three frames to be out of pegs. It's uses are: To inbetween objects (heads, hands, etc) that are very far apart in the field. You rough out where you think the inbetween should be, then you drag the keys together over the inbetween. The current Ou...

Re: MJ Out Of Pegs Panel
That's great, Mads. Do you know if, instead of "Play" there is a way to have a "go to next unpegged drawing" and "go to previous unpegged drawing"? I would like to flip the out of peg drawings manually, back and forth, the way you do when working with paper and with the...
