Re: Non destructive alpha support
Can not this be done with the recent blending modes of TVP Animation 9.0 Professional Edition ? I'm not sure to fully understand that request. :?: Bonjour Fabrice, No I do not think that blending modes will do this. Do you have Photoshop ? Load in a photo or scanned image. Add a mask and paint on t...

Re: Mirage owner status?
Hm, I know that having more than 8bit per channel is important for SFX, but I am happy to live without that for my style of drawing and animating. What I fear is the overhead of a 12 or even 16bit version of TVP: I expect everything to be slower (at least on my machine: I can't afford a new one the...

Non destructive alpha support
Hi All, Something that MIrage needed...and I haven't seen this updated with TVP Pro 9 Is the ability to add and subtract from an alpha channel... This is extremely needed for FX work...and for compositing...various elements. The old way of working did not allow you see what you were adding or deleti...

Re: Mirage owner status?
would this floating point slow down drawing? (no idea what this technology requires of your system) but if that's the price i'd reconsider. Well, I would recommend that it be part of the project setup...to be 8 bit or float...that way you can work in the color space you want or need. That is how co...

Re: Mirage owner status?
Yeah even if we had half float...would be so much better...
Less banding, noise, dither, etc...
It would also give us so much ability to control transitions, blurs, lighing etc...in a much more organic real world way as well.
Cheers,

Graph/motion editor
Hi All, Now I've not worked with the new TVPaint Pro 9... But from the listed improvements...this is still missing A better way to control motion over x,y,z (and time with velocity)... paths etc...along with a graph editor. The old profiles way is very limited and can not create many motion types or...

Hello to all, Thanks Hervé and the TVP team for allowing another upgrade path to us previous Mirage users. Its been an up and down ride thru everything...and I hope that the past stays in the past...and is water under the bridge. Hope all of you are doing okay...its been a bit since I've been on any...

Re: Drawing on a Mac
Hey Ray, I haven't heard from you for over a hundred thousand years. What a pleasure! I have missed you. Yes, there is this awful busy-ness to earn money, perhaps going after more than people really need. We've paid a big price for our over-consumerism. Hi Sierra, Thanks :) I missed chatting with a...

Re: Drawing on a Mac
I'm still intrigued by an article I read that people used to draw generally. I admire that it was considered a natural part of human expression and one didn't have to think of oneself as an artist to be able to illustrate the world around as part of every day life. Taking the time and attention to ...

Re: Mirage owner status?
Out of curiosity, why would they support the Red? You can use Red's software to get a functional QT out anyway (and it's still a quickly moving target) Hi User 767, Well there are several reasons. 1) time, it takes time to render out. rather than working in Realtime...like Scratch does with Red Raw...
