Re: Crazy(?) request: layers in the Project view
I think this is already covered by my (and any other) video editing software (which handles still images as well). If I should need that, I'd use that.

I don't use it, but wasn't ctrl+alt+wheel zooming continuously?

That's because you've still got that tool selected. The rectangle stays unless you choose another tool.

Re: Yikes... TVP 11 just deleted 53 clips in my project
I try and keep my file sizes under 2 GB, much better to handle. When I only had 8 GB of RAM on my PowerPC, I had an 11 GB TVP project - it took bout 10 minutes to open or save, and I took great care not or do anything else on that machine during that process. Once open it worked flawlessly. I never ...

Re: Dr. Who episode LUX animated with TVPaint
Oh. THat's just plain lovely. I never got into Dr Who, but this is amazing. How much money and time went into producing that episode AND the making of! And that 1930's character moves so great, I'm a sucker for precise silliness like this.

Re: What's the best approach for one, continuous scene that'll be ~3 minutes long.
It highly depends on what's happening. The example you posted is "many small actions in the same frame". I'd do it like this: - first make a detailed animatic so I know which actions happen simultaneously - create separate projects for each group of creatures, in larger size. Keep notes wh...

Re: Exporting .PSD sequence for Storyboarding
Hm, as I don't have any recent PS version: could you check if, when saving a PSD from PS, you still get the choide "save in legacy format" (or something like that) "to improve compatibility with older versions"? And what's the PS version number? (see in "about")

Re: Crashes and Auto Save Issues with Files and CTG Layers
A common source of difficulties is using external volumes for Autosave as well as normal save. Could you check these first?

Ah, on Mac every program has a "recent files" list available, which is maintained by the OS.

Re: Keyframer should "see" Layers in Multiply blend mode from another Project
While the mathematical explanation is correct, other software, namely PS, handles a multiplied layer on transparent as it were on white, without actually adding any white pixels on that layer.

Re: Turbulence displacement
There's always confusion about which FX only work with a white fill and which work also with lines on transparent. I'm used to fill the frames with white, apply the FX, merge layers when needed, and finally apply scan cleaner.

Re: Move framers in a Layer
OK. Select transform tool. Move image. You'll see a green and a red rectangle now. As long as both are visible, nothing is done yet, you can adjust and change. Hit enter. Only the green rectangle is visible. Transformed image has been written. Undo. That last step is reversed, image is shown before ...

All the best to all of you. I've noticed that my New Year's greetings get more and more grim over the years, and I blame reality.
