Re: Creating fireworks?
It's totally possible, just requires a bit of work. My example is from a real job, more a "magical" effect than real fireworks, bu close enough. Fisrt I created all the different mini-explosions in about 12 frames, and the spark-with-a-trail for the beginning, saving all as DIP files. Then...

Re: Best way to 'animate' an object moving away from camera
No, it never plays back in realtime with anything more complex. But rendering is so fast that I don't mind.

Re: Best way to animate a van driving away
You're on the right track. The trick is: have the still van on one layer, and the animated van on another. Think of it as source and target, and always keep them separate, so you will be able to apply corrections later. Once you're satisfied with the keyframer result you can store it for later re-us...

Re: What happened to website?!?
They undertook a complete redesign, at the same time while shipping out a brand new version, and preparing for visiting Annecy. I guess that was just too much to do. Be patient until next week when they will have returned from Annecy.

Re: New hardware
It's still the same workflow as 10 yrs ago! I do all FBF work and BGs in TVP. Most scenes are rendered from TVP and go to FinalCut. Those with camera movements get exported in bits, like BG, Character 1 (on transparent) Character 2 and so on, and get assembled in Moho. I also do this with scenes whe...

Re: Brush engine from 1970
What I especially like about this is that the paint supply is not some pipe or feeder, but an old-fashioned brush which needs to be tipped in the paint jar repeatedly. This is true Rube Goldberg spirit (or Heathcote Williams).

Hm, interesting. I wonder how much sense it makes, anyway, to allow camera FPS to override project FPS?

I'm used to press F2 and F4 alternatively. Always have the left hand on the keyboard.

Re: Filled stroke fill inside option only works with the source set to layer
Can't confirm. Created solid white layer on bottom, had 2 layers on top and used all fill methods successfully.
