Export is playing way too fast no matter what settings I try

Hi there, I'm trying to export my project (that I had exported fine two months ago), and it is playing an entire minute and 5 seoncds, in about 6 seconds and I have NO IDEA why. The projects is 1562 frames total, and I'm trying to export it at 24 fps, so it should be: 1 minute and 5 seconds. My expo...

Re: Simpler way to bring in images to TV Paint

I see that there is Ctrl + Shift +V but it really doesn't function as I want. Just paste to current layer, current frame, and don't crop image as Ctrl + Shift + V does.

Simpler way to bring in images to TV Paint

Hi there, I know that there are a number of ways to bring images into a document, but I was hoping the most recent update would have finally solved a simple Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V scenario — it has not. I'm not sure why this is difficult to implement? It seems so much easier to simply be able to copy an...

Hey Dean - you're right. It would be much easier to have a separate tool for "painting" transparent areas. Good point!

Re: CTG Layer - space in between colours is white but can't remove?

Hi! Thanks for the response. You posted this at the same time I managed to find this in the documentation.

Why doesn't the eraser simply act as an exclusion when there are no other squiggles in a given space, I have no idea. Feature request!

Thanks,
Garth

Re: CTG Layer - space in between colours is white but can't remove?

Okay, somehow it has fixed itself in other frames, but this one is now brown, and I can't erase it. What is with these CTG layers - why doesn't the eraser work?

Thanks for responding!

Nope, only the CTG layer is active other than the background here, and this is what it looks like. No checkerboards in between the legs.

CTG Layer - space in between colours is white but can't remove?

Hi there, I am using CTG layers for the first time and can't understand why there is a white space filling in between coloured elements. I have tried to erase multiple times and it's not working. No idea how it got there in the first place. It is on this frame, frame 61 and 64 and 67. I'm sure this ...

In Clip view, ability to cut current clip at current time.

It seems odd that in order to do this, you have to go back to Project view, switch to Timeline View, and then click Split Clip. I'd love to be able to do this from the Clip view. It would save several redundant steps.

Thanks TVP team!

Re: Workflow question for project view

Thanks for your response ChristopherC! You this is another way but the issue is the same - you can't just play the audio as soon as you make a new clip and decide where to end it, you have to arbitrarily guess where it will end, and then adjust again. If this is the standard workflow, it just feels ...

Workflow question for project view

Hi there forum folks, I'm just curious what the ideal workflow for adding clips is in the project view. My situation is that I am working with a voiceover, which I've put into the project. I just find the process clunky, so I wanted to describe how I'm doing this to see if there is a better way. I a...

Lighting system like that in SPA Studios' Klaus

I would love if the TV Paint team could create a system that would allow for animated lighting like that seen in Spa Studios 2019 feature Netflix film Klaus. Their set up for this allowed for the 2D animation to look very similar to 3d, while maintaining the charm and flexibility of 2d animation. Wi...

Dual Screen - how to create the ideal set up?

Hey everyone, I've been continually battling TV Paint's interface to make it work for dual screen (especially when the two different screens are very different pixel ratios). Here is the problem: https://ibb.co/3Fct4P1 The interface is such a mess right now and I don't even know where to begin. Here...
