Re: TVPaint 11 keeps crashing
Has this Mac bug been fixed for the new version 12? I don't want to upgrade only to have it constantly crash.

Re: TVPaint 11 keeps crashing
I am having the same issue. I have a Macbook pro M1 Max and also use a Cintiq (27 pro).
11.7.2 and 11.7.3 both crash randomly, but 11.7.1 is stable for me.

Re: Lagging Brush Selections on Cintiq since 11.5.2 Mac
Yes, that was a typo. I meant 11.7.2
Wacom driver is up to date.
No custom profiles.
Mac OS. 14.2.1 (23C71)
M1 with 32Gigs of Ram
Restarting my Mac definitely helps for a while. But then things start lagging after about 30 minutes or so of use.

Lagging Brush Selections on Cintiq since 11.5.2 Mac
Hello, Ever since I installed 11.5.2, I have had a lag when choosing brushes or shortcuts and other commands using my pen on my Cintiq Pro 27. I is not nearly as bad when I use my mouse to select. It is just the Cintiq pen that lags when making selections. I have tried 3 different cintiq pens. I nev...

Re: Question About N. America Broadcast Quality
I think that is a different codec. The one I use is ProRes 422 and I think there is some loss of data but still nothing I can ever tell or see from the original uncompressed file. I will take a look at your codec though now that you have sparked my curiosity.

You are welcome Debby,
And if you want me to check out your choice before you buy, I would be happy to give you my opinion. Just send me the link from JR or wherever.

Re: Laptop suggestions ?
Hello DJSolomon, Over the years I have run TVPaint on many different machines without problems. And like the others are explaining, you should shoot for 8Gb of memory, an i5 or i7 processor, and a 500Gb or more 7200RPM hard drive (5400RPM will work too but things like video preview can be a bit more...

Re: Question About N. America Broadcast Quality
You might also notice that PBS still asks for output to be interlaced even though this no longer applies to digital TV. This makes me wonder if they want to be able to also broadcast in other countries that have still not converted to digital and that still primarily use the CRT televisions of not s...

Re: windows seven and wacom cintiq:
I have a Cintiq but it is for my Mac setup. However I also us a tablet PC (with a built-in Wacom screen) and I recently had a similar problem in Windows 7. It turned out that I had two different Wacom drivers on my system at the same time. If I have some time, I will try to hook the Cintiq up to my ...

Natural Media Brushes
Does anyone remember the "Natural Media Brushes" from the old days. There were some cool bristle brushes in that panel. I was wondering if anyone has been able to get that to work with TVP 9.5. I am reworking a scene I made a few years back and I used those brushes and now I am having a ha...
